Description
  • Provide expert HR guidance and strategic partnering to align people’s practices with organisational objectives.
  • Oversee, lead and drive Employment Equity compliance within the region by implementing affirmative action measures, workforce transformation initiatives, and recruitment practices that align with EE targets and demographic requirements.
  • Lead and facilitate positive employee relations by advising managers on labour matters, promoting dispute prevention, resolving grievances within agreed timelines, and ensuring fair, consistent application of labour laws and company policies.
  • Lead and guide change management and cultural transformation by embedding organisational initiatives at the region and executing regional action plans on time.
  • Oversee and apply compensation and benefits principles by ensuring payroll input accuracy, resolving queries effectively, conducting pay and equity audits, and guiding employees in understanding reward structures and benefits.
  • Manage and oversee employee movement and separation processes, including transfers, promotions, and exits, ensuring policy and legal compliance.
  • Oversee and optimise HR processes by ensuring compliance with policies and systems, driving employee engagement.
  • Oversee recruitment in the region by ensuring timely filling of vacancies, building sustainable talent pipelines, and supporting diversity and inclusion goals.
  • Builds and manages strong internal and external stakeholder relationships by promoting HR services, participating actively in forums and consultations, addressing stakeholder concerns within agreed timeframes, and fostering collaborative partnerships.
  • Lead and drive employee engagement initiatives that strengthen morale and inclusivity.
  • Oversee learning and development delivery in the business unit by coordinating upskilling sessions, educating employees on policies and procedures, and building workforce capability in line with the plan.
  • Compile and present accurate and timely reports and workforce dashboards, submitting monthly HR reports as scheduled, implementing identified improvements, and providing actionable insights to support evidence-based management decisions.
Requirements
  • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • B Tech or B Com in HR / Behavioural Sciences Management / Organisational Psychology or similar.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Business management or related advantageous.
  • 7+ years HR Business Partnering Generalist experience.
  • 4+ years in mining or explosives industry advantageous.
