This role will be responsible for delivering operational HR objectives in alignment with the TSAM Human Resources strategy. The incumbent will provide a professional, value added HR service to all internal clients through effective planning, administration, co‑ordination, and stakeholder support. The role requires a candidate with a strong Labour Law background and proven experience working in a unionized environment, capable of influencing and supporting line management while maintaining stable employee relations. The role forms part of the HR Services Department.
Key Performance Areas
Manpower Planning
- Facilitate end-to-end recruitment
- Organisation design: Support line management with workforce planning, headcount control and internal movements
- Interface with recruitment agencies and external service providers
- Ensure accurate processing of HR forms, and new employee onboarding requirements
HR Projects
- Participate in and implement HR related projects aligned to annual HR objectives
- Support Employment Equity and Skills Development initiatives
- Assist with change management and communication of project outcomes
Stable Work Relationships
- Build effective working relationships with Line, Unions and employees
- Support performance management, disciplinary matters and grievance interventions
- Promote positive employee relations and consistent policy application
Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR reporting
- Process HR transactions
- Ensure governance, compliance and adherence to policies
Communication
- Provide guidance and advice on HR enquiries
- Conduct continuous engagement with stakeholders
- Support internal HR communication processes
Qualifications And Experience
- NQF Level 6 (360 credits - 8 level framework) qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations or equivalent.
- Post‑graduate qualification in Labour Law or Industrial Relations will be advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a Generalist HR function.
- Experience in a unionised environment will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of BCEA, LRA, Skills Development & Employment Equity legislation is essential.
- CCMA representation (conciliation & arbitration)
- Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors
- Proficiency in MS Office
