A leading automotive company in South Africa is looking for a skilled HR professional to deliver operational HR objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong Labour Law background, at least 5 years of experience in HR, and the ability to influence management while maintaining employee relations. This role involves recruitment, employee onboarding, and participation in HR projects, aiming to foster positive work relationships and consistent policy application.
This role will be responsible for delivering operational HR objectives in alignment with the TSAM Human Resources strategy.
The incumbent will provide a professional, value added HR service to all internal clients through effective planning, administration, co-ordination, and stakeholder support.
The role requires a candidate with a strong Labour Law background and proven experience working in a unionized environment, capable of influencing and supporting line management while maintaining stable employee relations.
The role forms part of the HR Services Department.Key Performance AreasManpower PlanningFacilitate end-to-end recruitmentOrganisation design : Support line management with workforce planning, headcount control and internal movementsInterface with recruitment agencies and external service providersEnsure accurate processing of HR forms, and new employee onboarding requirementsHR ProjectsParticipate in and implement HR related projects aligned to annual HR objectivesSupport Employment Equity and Skills Development initiativesAssist with change management and communication of project outcomesStable Work RelationshipsBuild effective working relationships with Line, Unions and employeesSupport performance management, disciplinary matters and grievance interventionsPromote positive employee relations and consistent policy applicationAdministrationMaintain accurate employee records and HR reportingProcess HR transactionsEnsure governance, compliance and adherence to policiesCommunicationProvide guidance and advice on HR enquiriesConduct continuous engagement with stakeholdersSupport internal HR communication processesQualifications And ExperienceNQF Level 6 ( credits - 8 level framework) qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations or equivalent.Post-graduate qualification in Labour Law or Industrial Relations will be advantageous.Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in a Generalist HR function.Experience in a unionised environment will be an added advantage.Working knowledge of BCEA, LRA, Skills Development & Employment Equity legislation is essential.CCMA representation (conciliation & arbitration)Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactorsProficiency in MS OfficeExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)Strong relationship-building abilityCompetenciesDecision making & problem solvingPlanning, organising and prioritising workConfidentiality and professionalismNegotiation and presentation skillsAttention to detailAbility to influence and drive outcomesEmpathy and stakeholder managementImportant DimensionsAbility to manage multiple HR priorities in a fast-paced environmentConsistent application of HR policies, governance and complianceStrong communication and change management capabilityLiaison at executive levels and below.
