Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced HR and Risk Officer in Sandton. The role demands at least 5 years of relevant experience in HR and risk management. HR and Risk Officer - Sandton

Our client seeks a HR and Risk Officer with 5+ years experience. The HR and Risk officer will need to develop, review, and improve policies, systems, and procedures; and ensure the company’s needs in this area are met satisfactorily. The ideal candidate must be analytical, deadline drive, knowledgeable, and organized with an initiative-taking attitude and strong people skills.

Salary: depends on experience

Education and Experience
  • Grade 12 with a relevant HR and / or risk or Finance qualification
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
Key Duties
  • Delivering and Implementing HR Strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business strategies.
  • Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, and other issues
  • Employee Wellness programme and positive motivation mechanisms
  • Monthly payroll run / Consulting with Outsourcing company (Full payroll functions)
  • Processing payroll Bank account transactions on Pastel.
  • Loading payroll related expenses onto bank.
  • Employee database and HR tasks
  • Performance management / disciplinary processes of non-performing employees
  • Managing any necessary employee training
  • Managing the recruitment and selection process
  • Onboarding new employees
  • Employee exit programme and analysis
  • Leave tracking and Management.
  • SARS Compliance
  • Health and Safety compliance
  • Monthly / Quarterly Incident reporting.
  • Risk assessments
  • BEE certification / audit – compliance
  • Insurance review and negotiations.
