Job description
HR and Recruitment Learner (12 Months)

Purpose of the Role : The HR and Recruitment Support Administrator (Learner) will primarily support the Human Resources department with day-to-day administrative and coordination tasks, contributing to efficient HR operations.

In addition, a small portion of the role will involve supporting the Recruitment team with reference checks and related administrative duties.

This learnership provides a strong foundation in HR administration and exposure to recruitment support, ideal for individuals passionate about building a career in Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Support (90%)

  • Maintain and update employee records and personnel files with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in preparing HR documentation such as employment contracts, confirmation letters, and onboarding packs.
  • Support the coordination of onboarding and induction processes for new employees.
  • Assist with leave management, attendance registers, and related HR tracking systems.
  • Support HR compliance processes by ensuring documentation is up to date and properly filed.
  • Provide administrative assistance with employee engagement initiatives, training coordination, and HR projects.
  • Assist in preparing HR reports, spreadsheets, and data capturing tasks.
  • Handle general HR queries and direct them to the appropriate personnel where necessary.

Recruitment Support (10%)

  • Conduct and record reference checks for shortlisted candidates.
  • Assist with maintaining candidate files and documentation as required by the recruitment team.
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling candidate information.
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric (Grade 12) essential as well as a Diploma / Degree in Human Resource Management.
