Job description
Purpose

The HR Administrator is responsible for providing operational and administrative support to all the Transmart branches. The incumbent will manage documentation flow regarding personnel files, employment contracts, job descriptions, pension fund, leave applications, manpower statistics, etc. They will maintain a computerised/shared drive HR platform ensuring data is up to date and address staff queries & advise on company benefits and policies. Travel to branches may be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft offer letters, remuneration structure, employment contract, provident fund forms, and medical aid forms for new staff.
  • Liaise with Provident Fund provider.
  • Manage drafting and record‑keeping of all job profiles with HR Consultant assistance.
  • Onboard new employees and administer recruitment process.
  • Review and assist with drafting and implementing company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain electronic personnel filing system.
  • Initiate, coordinate and keep record of staff training.
  • Draft warnings and relevant disciplinary documentation.
  • Schedule, administer and keep record of performance appraisals, drafting documents and KPIs.
  • Maintain good relationships with the Bargaining Council while ensuring compliance.
  • Manage exit process.
  • Probation management – complete probation meetings and documentation with line manager.
  • Manage personnel leave system.
  • Manage and maintain payroll system; compile agenda's and minutes.
  • Reporting on HR related information for BBBEE purposes.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Senior NQF4 Certificate.
  • Degree/Diploma in HR will be advantageous.
  • 5-7 years of work experience/knowledge.
  • Experience with the National Bargaining Council (Road Freight).
