Overview
We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented HR Administrator to join our dynamic HR team in a fast-paced environment.
This role serves as the backbone of our HR function, ensuring the smooth running of day‑to‑day administrative processes, from recruitment to exit management, while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations.
You will work closely with the HR Manager and other departments, taking ownership of administrative HR duties, ensuring smooth employee onboarding, offboarding, and ongoing personnel management.
Key Responsibilities
- Post job adverts, screen CVs, and coordinate interviews.
- Prepare onboarding documents, contracts and submit to payroll.
- Manage employee records, contracts, renewals, and probation tracking.
- Handle offboarding documentation and exit processes (UI-19, MIBFA).
- Book and collect training data, capture on HR system, and assist with WSP / ATR submissions.
- Assist and maintain HR compliance records (EE, BBBEE, WCA, ROE, IOD).
- Assist with disciplinary documentation, hearings and grievance administration.
- Manage injury on duty claims and medical record management (e.g., booking medicals, maintaining files).
- Support leave and absence management, payroll notifications, monthly reports and HR communications.
- Prepare documentation for HR audits and inspections.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications: A Matric / Senior Certificate is required. A relevant tertiary qualification in HR is advantageous.
Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar HR administrator role (preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings).
HR Software Experience
- Proficiency in payroll software (Payspace, ERS Bio experience would be beneficial).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other HR software applications.
Interpersonal & Analytical Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- High attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to manage shifting priorities and tasks.
