Requirements
  • A recognised hospitality qualification.
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English
  • A minimum of five years’ senior management experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong rooms division background.
  • Proven experience in revenue management, including implementing strategies to optimise performance during low season.
  • Strong understanding of management principles and hotel operations.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, train and develop a high‑performing service team.

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
  • Effective conflict management and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the hotel, including the reservations team.
  • Manage all operational departments, including sales and marketing, housekeeping, front office (reception and concierge), tour guides, leisure services, human resources and finance, as required.
  • Manage budgets and ensure adherence to agreed financial targets.
  • Maintain and monitor quality standards across all areas, including hygiene, health and safety compliance.
  • Lead the hotel team to achieve departmental and overall hotel performance objectives.
  • Drive the training, development and ongoing performance management of staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, internal policies and best‑practice standards.
  • Equip the hotel team to confidently handle and resolve guest queries.
  • Manage guest expectations and oversee the effective resolution of all customer feedback and concerns.
