An experienced, hands-on F&B Director is required for a busy Hotel property in the Somerset West region, Cape Town.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the establishment's food and drink operations, including managing staff, controlling costs, ensuring quality, and maintaining profitability. You will be responsible for both front-of-house and back-of-house services, from creating beverage programs and managing inventory to handling customer satisfaction and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Requirements
- At least 5 - 6 years’ FBM experience in a large hotel
- A Hospitality Diploma
- Computer literate in Opera, Micros
- Excellent Excel Skills
- Excellent written and telephonic skills
- Good planning, organisational and time management skills

- Daily Operations: Supervising and coordinating all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service.
- Staff Management: Hiring, training, and evaluating staff, ensuring high morale and performance.
- Menu Development: Collaborating with chefs to create and implement menus that meet guest preferences and financial goals.
- Cost Control: Monitoring expenses, implementing cost‑saving measures, and ensuring profitability within budget.
- Quality Control: Maintaining consistent food and beverage quality, ensuring hygiene standards, and addressing guest complaints.
- Inventory Management: Overseeing inventory, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
- Sales and Marketing: Developing and implementing strategies to increase F&B revenue, such as promotions and events.
