A leading gases and welding company in South Africa is seeking a skilled Hot Work Operator for their Roodekop facility. The ideal candidate has a Welder or Boilermaker Trade certificate, at least two years of experience in welding, and a strong understanding of safety protocols. Responsibilities include maintaining LPG and refrigerant cylinders, performing various welding tasks, and ensuring compliance with legal standards. Qualifications

• Possess a Welder or Boilermaker Trade certificate.
• Two or more years of relevant experience; welding and grinding experience essential.
• Demonstrate safe use of grinding, welding equipment and hand tools.
• Have an understanding of hazards associated with welding, grinding and manual handling.
• Experience with pressure vessels, receptacles and gas operations essential.
• Be coded to a carbon‑steel to carbon steel procedure as a welder.

• Ensure maintained cylinders subjected to hot works comply with legal and company requirements.
• Perform all administration and logistical tasks to deliver on job objectives.
• Be responsible for oxy‑acetylene steel cutting, welding, heating, and grinding of cylinders.
• Perform arc welding.
• Conduct manual tool repair and replace cylinder shroud/valve guards and foot rings.
