Job summary

Outsourced Cfo in Cape Town seeks an experienced Financial Manager to lead the finance function for a boutique hospitality group, covering hotels, guesthouses and multiple F&B outlets.

This role combines hands-on day-to-day financial oversight with high-level strategic planning, driving financial performance and growth across multiple revenue streams, and owning the finance department across all business units.

Qualifications

• 5–15 years' experience in a Group Financial Manager role.
• Experience in hospitality finance is strongly advantageous.
• Proven ability to operate at both operational and strategic levels.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a finance team.
• Excellent communication with ownership/senior management; strong analytical ability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations across the hotel, guesthouse, and restaurant.
• Manage monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and reporting for each unit.
• Oversee payroll, creditors, debtors, and cash flow management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and audit requirements.
• Mentor and develop the finance team; liaise with auditors and banks.
• Monitor stock control, cost of sales, and F&B margins.
• Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls across the Group.
• Partner with ownership on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
