You will perform cleaning and disinfection tasks in patient rooms, operating theatres, and common areas in accordance with hospital protocols.

Responsibilities

About the Role

This role is critical in preventing the spread of infections and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene within a healthcare setting. You will perform a variety of cleaning and disinfection tasks in patient rooms, operating theatres, common areas, and other critical zones. The ideal candidate is reliable, thorough, and understands the unique demands and protocols of hospital sanitation, demonstrating a strong commitment to public health and patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of all hospital areas, including patient rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common spaces.
• Disinfect surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas using approved hospital-grade disinfectants.
• Follow strict protocols for handling and disposing of medical waste and biohazardous materials.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, extractors, and vacuum cleaners.
• Respond promptly to cleaning needs in emergency situations or spills.
• Adhere to all infection control policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environmental services role.
