Job summary

Clinix Health Group (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Hospital Case Manager to plan, coordinate and execute clinical coding at hospital level. You will minimise financial risk by ensuring accurate billing through comprehensive coding of patient care and engage with funders to update key metrics and stay compliant with CHG standards.

The role requires a Diploma in General Nursing with 3–5 years’ hospital case management experience and knowledge of private health care operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in General Nursing and valid registration.
• 3–5 years’ experience as a hospital case manager.
• Knowledge of private health care operations.
• Advance Certification in Intermediate coding (advantage).
• Degree in Nursing (advantage).

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute clinical coding for hospital records.
• Liaise with reception for authorisations and follow up with funders.
• Ensure accurate, complete diagnostic and procedural coding of patient records.
• Minimise financial risk by effective management of hospitalisation.
• Adhere to case management procedures, standards and CHG protocols.
