Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Home-Based HR Specialist with a strong focus on Talent Acquisition.

This position plays a key role in helping our organization identify, attract, and retain top‑tier talent across diverse industries.

As a remote HR professional, you will work independently while collaborating closely with hiring managers and department heads to fulfill hiring goals aligned with our strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end‑to‑end recruitment processes, from job posting to onboarding.

Partner with hiring managers to define recruitment strategies and talent needs.

Source, screen, and interview candidates using various platforms and tools.

Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future roles.

Develop and maintain job descriptions and specifications.

Conduct reference checks, background verifications, and offer negotiations.

Provide an outstanding candidate experience at every stage of the hiring process.

Assist with HR administrative functions and compliance documentation as needed.

Prepare recruitment metrics and reports for senior leadership.

Stay updated on talent acquisition trends, technologies, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.

Proven experience in talent acquisition or full‑cycle recruiting, preferably in a remote environment.

Strong understanding of HR processes, labor laws, and recruitment tools / platforms.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems (ATS).

A proactive approach to problem‑solving and critical thinking.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years' experience in HR, with a strong emphasis on recruitment or talent acquisition.

Experience working remotely or in a consultancy setting is highly preferred.

Familiarity with hiring across different levels and functions, including technical and non‑technical roles.

Working Hours

Flexible working hours with core availability required between 9 AM – 3 PM CST.

Candidates must be able to occasionally adapt to other time zones depending on client needs.

Ability to build strong relationships with candidates, clients, and internal teams.
