Job summary

St Cyprian’s School is seeking an enthusiastic Sports Administrator & Coach: Hockey to lead our thriving hockey programme from January 2027. The role covers coordination and management across Prep and High Schools, plus hands-on coaching as needed.

The successful candidate will balance on-field coaching with behind-the-scenes administration, budgeting, planning fixtures, and collaborating with students, parents and staff to foster a positive, inclusive sporting culture.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ relevant experience in Hockey coaching or sports management at Prep/High School level.
• SACE registered and in good standing.
• Strong administrative and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Hockey programme across the Prep and High Schools.
• Act as Manager in Charge (MIC) of Hockey.
• Coach various Hockey teams.
• Plan and coordinate the season, fixtures and programme requirements.
• Liaise effectively with students, parents and other members of the school community.
• Coordinate and manage outsourced coaches.
• Support the development of a positive, inclusive and high-quality sporting culture.
• Manage relevant budgets and contribute to forward planning.
• Ensure the programme is administratively well organised, communicated and delivered.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the broader Sports Department.
