A leading engineering firm in South Africa is seeking a Civil Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Fluency in French is a must, as the role involves international project work. Responsibilities include performing AutoCAD Civil 3D design and ensuring health and safety standards are met. Key Role : To function in a Design Team as a Civil Designer working on Global Project Delivery (International workshare projects in the infrastructure sector) - The candidate must be fluent in French.
Able to perform AutoCAD Civil 3D design and modelling of the following, for large scale infrastructure projects : Complex site earthworks modelling, Wet utilities (sewer, water, stormwater) – Bulk services and on‑site services, Dry utilities – Bulk services and on‑site services, Corridor modelling, including intersections, roundabouts and interchanges. Rail corridor modelling will be a plus.
Role model standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company's health, safety, environmental and quality vision, and policies by influencing those around you. Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm. Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution. Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in design of roads and civil services infrastructure. Highly competent with civil engineering design using Autodesk Civil 3D software. Professional Registration.
Self‑training ability, with an affinity to learn new design technologies. MUST be fluent in French.
