Placements24 seeks an experienced Heritage Architect for our client in Kimberley, Northern Cape. The role centers on preservation, restoration, and adaptive reuse of historical buildings, with collaboration across heritage consultants and authorities.

You will conduct heritage assessments, develop conservation strategies, and document interventions that respect historical integrity. A master’s degree with 7+ years of practice is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture with a specialization in Conservation or Heritage Studies.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural practice with a focus on heritage conservation.
• In-depth knowledge of South African heritage legislation and policies.
• Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong understanding of historical building materials and conservation techniques.
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
• Passion for heritage preservation and adaptive reuse.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client, a highly respected architectural firm with a specialization in heritage conservation and adaptive reuse, is seeking an experienced Heritage Architect to join their team in Kimberley, Northern Cape . This role is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and sensitive integration of historical buildings and sites. You will be responsible for conducting heritage assessments, developing conservation strategies, and designing interventions that respect the historical integrity and cultural significance of built heritage.
