Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Facility Cleaner to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control in Kimberley. You will perform routine and specialized cleaning in patient rooms, common areas, operating theatres, and other sensitive zones, following strict infection prevention protocols.

This role requires meticulous attention to detail, discretion, and a strong commitment to hygiene in healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in healthcare cleaning or a similar environment is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and proper use of cleaning agents and disinfectants.
• Ability to handle potentially biohazardous materials safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently.
• Must pass a background check and health screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Clean and sanitize operating rooms, laboratories, and other specialized healthcare environments according to strict protocols.
• Dispose of medical waste and general trash in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are properly stored and ready for use.
• Follow all established infection control procedures and guidelines.
• Respond promptly to spills or other sanitation emergencies to minimize contamination risks.
