Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Facility Architect for a leading architectural firm in George, Western Cape. You will lead design development for hospitals, clinics and other medical facilities, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and high safety standards.
You will collaborate with healthcare providers, engineers and regulators, manage timelines and budgets, and stay at the forefront of patient-centered, sustainable design in the George region.
Qualifications
- Professional architect qualification and accreditation.
- 7+ years in architectural practice with healthcare focus.
- Knowledge of SA healthcare design guidelines and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design process for healthcare projects from concept to completion.
- Prepare designs, drawings and specs compliant with healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with hospital admins, doctors, nurses, regulators.
- Coordinate with MEP, structural and civil engineers.
- Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies.
- Ensure infection control, accessibility and patient safety.
- Present design proposals and manage project documentation.
- Manage timelines and budgets for healthcare-specific services.
- Stay updated on healthcare design trends and technologies.
