Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks a senior analytics leader to oversee data analytics, data science and clinical teams across South Africa, coordinating with Singapore-based technical heads. The role ensures timely, robust and accurate analytical products and frameworks through strong stakeholder communication.

The ideal candidate will have extensive healthcare analytics experience, advanced SQL/Python/Excel skills, and familiarity with Azure Databricks, Synapse and Data Factory to deliver scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, statistics, healthcare related, or similar.
• Extensive experience in healthcare analytics.
• SQL, Python, and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Understanding of statistics, risk adjustment and health outcome assessment frameworks.
• Knowledge of data governance, data architecture, ETL/ELT and metadata standards.
• Knowledge of clinical tools including coders, groupers and classifications.
• Experience with data science in healthcare.
• Understanding of healthcare pricing and actuarial calculations.
• Azure Databricks, Synapse and Data Factory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee analytical teams across data analytics, data science and clinical domains.
• Coordinate with technical heads in Singapore to align on delivery.
• Ensure timely, robust and accurate delivery of analytical products and frameworks.
• Present data insights and models to stakeholders with clear action points.
• Drive scalable, reproducible data systems and governance across healthcare datasets.
• Collaborate with clinical, operations, digital and marketing teams to understand data needs.
