Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks a Data Analyst with healthcare analytics experience to oversee analytics teams in South Africa and coordinate with technical leads in Singapore. The role focuses on timely, robust delivery of analytical products and frameworks with strong stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities include mining diverse datasets, standardizing data structures, and designing scalable data systems to support healthcare insights across clinical, operations, fraud, and wellness domains.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, statistics, healthcare related, or similar.
Extensive experience in healthcare analytics.
Experience and skill set in SQL, Python, and advanced Excel.
Understanding in basic to advanced statistics, risk adjustment and health outcome assessment frameworks.
Knowledge of databases, governance, metadata standards, ETL/ELT and data architecture principles.
Knowledge of patient health management, provider profiling and healthcare reporting.
Knowledge of clinical tools including coders, groupers, and classifications.
Knowledge of data science in the healthcare space.

Responsibilities

Mine large structured and unstructured datasets for multiple companies with different data structures.
Own data structures and set standards and vision for normalized data sets.
Support design of data systems to enable efficient, scalable analytics.
Use data to derive insights informing healthcare strategies and product development.
Perform basic to advanced data analytics, ad hoc and in production.
Present data and model findings to provide actionable insights.
Interact with stakeholders to understand data, systems, and analytics in healthcare context.
Improve processes and data outcomes where opportunities arise.
