Overview

Alta du Toit as a program of Badisa, have a vacancy for one Healthcare Administrator. This role is critical in supporting our medical and care teams by providing comprehensive administrative coordination. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless operational support, policy compliance, and effective communication across all care units.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate administrative support for medical and care teams, ensuring integrated service delivery.
  • Maintain legal documents, compliance certificates, and updated policies, procedures, and forms.
  • Manage shift schedules, leave planning, relief staff, and timesheet verification with HR.
  • Draft and update SOPs, care routines, and ensure all documentation is available and up to date.
  • Act as liaison between caregivers, facilitators, residents’ families, and other departments.
  • Oversee weekend activity schedules, communication books, and visitor logs.
  • Handle medical appointment scheduling and transport arrangements.
  • Keep client databases and medical files updated and verified.
  • Maintain weekend in/out lists and manage communications for the Tosnini unit.
  • Order, track, and manage medical supplies and other inventory.
  • Perform general admin tasks including filing, copying, and auditing control books.
Relevant Experience
  • Relevant qualification in office administration or health/care-related administration.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare or care facility setting.
  • Strong computer literacy (MS Office Suite, database systems).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English).
