Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Health Safety & Environment Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to all Health, Safety and Environmental Acts & Legislation
• Implement Accident Prevention Plans
• Implement Emergency preparedness plans
• Incident and Accident scene investigator, and Lost time Injury incident investigator
• Ensure implementation and documentation of corrective action
• Emergency co-ordinator, develop a rescue procedure for all circumstances
• Subcontractor management, assisting in ensuring compliance to relevant Health, Safety and Environmental acts & Legislation
• Management of Hazchem in accordance with Control of Substances Hazardous to health (COSHH)
• Maintaining chemical safety data sheets
• Prepare and present HIRA and all Health and Safety training
• Manage the SHE documentation on the internal system

Desired Experience & Qualification

• NQF level 5+
• 3 year experience as a Heath, Safety & Environmental Manager
• Valid SAMTRAC qualification
• Advanced Hazardous Identification and Risk assessment
• RMA-COID-Occupational Injuries and diseases in the workplace
• Root cause analysis training
• First Aid certification
• Fire fighter certification
• GMR2(1) an advantage
