Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in the roofing industry is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to oversee safety compliance and training. The successful candidate will have experience in health and safety management, holding a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, with excellent leadership and communication skills. This role requires time split between office and site visits, ensuring high standards of safety across projects.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) with Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) either held or close to obtaining.
  • Credible health & safety experience including operations, project management and CDM knowledge.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and training abilities.

Health & Safety Manager - Construction

Established roofing systems contractor specialising in commercial and industrial roofing solutions. This reputable company operates across multiple sites and maintains high standards of health & safety excellence whilst delivering quality roofing projects. Known for commitment to employee development and maintaining externally audited management standards.

Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement of health & safety across all operations whilst ensuring legislative compliance and developing policies and practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments, method statements, site inspections and incident investigations.
  • Provide training courses, safety meetings and presentations to staff at all levels.
  • Split time between head office and site visits in all weather conditions, working at heights and liaising with relevant authorities.
  • Compile statistics, write reports and maintain external audit standards whilst supporting management on legal compliance matters.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) with Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) either held or close to obtaining
  • Credible health & safety experience including operations, project management and CDM (Construction Design and Management) knowledge
  • Excellent leadership, communication and training abilities with good head for heights and flexible approach to working hours
