Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining s Safety, health, and Environmental (SHE) Management System to ensure legal compliance at minimum.
  • Drafting, amending, training, and implementing the clients' procedures and policies required for the SHE Management System
  • Ensuring that all policies, procedures, and records are documented and controlled as per the Control of Documents Procedure
  • Identifying training needs of the client and arranging require training.
  • Preparing routine internal audits, risk assessments and conducting inspections within the workplace.
  • Ensuring the inspection registers are completed as per legal requirements.
  • Identifying and issue non-conformances and ensuring closure in a timeous manner.
  • Ensuring that all legal requirements, policies, and procedures are adhered to on site.
  • Keeping the clients updated with all new legal / changes in legislation.
  • In addition to the above, the role requires Sales & Marketing and overall development and growth of the business unit.
Requirements
  • National Diploma / Degree or enrolled for equivalent
  • Appropriate H&S Programmes : SAMTRAC & NEBOSCH IGC
  • Valid driver's License with own vehicle is essential
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in Health & Safety
  • Consulting experience within Agriculture & Construction industries
  • Excellent knowledge on OHS Act, 85 of 1996
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
