Head of Product – Insights, Strategy & Innovation

We’re looking for a rare hybrid: a strategic, insights-driven Head of Product who understands the science of dietary supplements and the commercial, competitive, and consumer landscape that drives long-term product success.

You will own the product strategy, portfolio direction, and insights engine behind one of the world’s fastest-growing natural health brands. This role blends science, market intelligence, and strategic planning — working closely with Product Development, Marketing, Branding, and QA to build a multi-year roadmap that aligns with our mission and our relentless appetite for innovation.

What You’ll Own
1. Product Strategy & Roadmap
  • Define and lead our multi-year product strategy aligned to brand positioning, science, consumer needs, and market opportunity.

  • Translate insights into a clear product roadmap that guides R&D, marketing, and executive decisions.

  • Identify whitespace opportunities and create new product concepts grounded in data and evidence.

2. Portfolio & Lifecycle Management
  • Shape and optimize our global product portfolio mix — reduce gaps, eliminate overlaps, and plan strategic SKUs.

  • Oversee lifecycle management across all products, ensuring each formula evolves with market, science, and consumer needs.

  • Build and adapt market-specific portfolios for new regions (US, AU, EU, APAC, UAE), considering regulatory constraints and local competitors.

3. Market Intelligence & Competitive Insights
  • Conduct ongoing competitor audits to identify opportunities, threats, and emerging niches.

  • Track category trends, ingredient movements, formats, and claims evolution across global markets.

  • Convert intelligence into data-backed product briefs that inform R&D and innovation priorities.

4. Product Concepting, Insights & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Marketing, PD, QA, Branding, and executive leadership to evaluate potential concepts.

  • Create high-quality, research-backed product concept briefs to guide formulation and development work.

  • Work closely with PD to ensure insight-driven NPD and strong product-market fit.

Experience & Background

This role is ideal for someone who blends scientific understanding, strategic thinking, and commercial awareness.

You’ll thrive if you have:

  • Advanced market and data analysis experience in supplements, wellness FMCG, herbal medicine, or pharma-adjacent industries.

  • Direct experience in dietary supplements — cosmetics or complementary medicine experience is a strong plus.

  • Global market experience across multiple regions (USA, AU, EU, APAC, UAE preferred).

  • Proven ability to turn trend and competitor intelligence into portfolio decisions and clear product roadmaps.

  • Understanding of compliance frameworks (FDA, TGA, EFSA/ FSA, etc.) and how they shape innovation strategy.

  • Strategic thinking across R&D, regulatory, marketing, brand, and commercial lenses.

Bonus if you have exposure to: women’s health, botanicals, adaptogens, nutraceutical delivery systems, or functional foods.
