Job summary

Initiate in Cape Town, South Africa, seeks a Head of Online to own the day-to-day performance, growth and strategic direction of a leading online sportsbook and casino operation. You will run the entire online gaming business, driving revenue, customer experience and operational excellence.

You will work across sportsbook, casino, product, trading, payments, CRM, marketing, risk and technology to unlock opportunities and deliver sustainable profitability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a senior online management role within iGaming, sportsbook or casino.
• Experience overseeing an online sportsbook and/or casino operation.
• Strong understanding of the online gaming customer journey and revenue drivers.
• Ability to balance customer experience with growth, compliance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the online sportsbook and casino operation, including performance and customer experience.
• Develop and execute the overall online strategy aligned with commercial objectives.
• Oversee performance, identify opportunities to increase player acquisition, activation and revenue.
• Collaborate with Sportsbook, Casino, Product, Trading, CRM, Marketing, Payments and Risk teams.
• Monitor KPIs like GGR, NGR, turnover, deposits, active players and retention.
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage relationships with platform providers and partners.
• Ensure compliance, security and responsible gambling across the online operation.
