You’ll own the IT strategy end-to-end – from infrastructure and data intelligence to cloud modernization and AI initiatives – ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and future‑ready.

Responsibilities

Define, refine, and execute the group-wide IT strategy to support business growth, digital transformation, and innovation.

Partner with EXCO to identify emerging technologies, AI and automation opportunities, and mitigate technological risks.

Shape governance frameworks that ensure accountability, compliance, and high-impact technology investments.

Champion a culture of continuous improvement, agility, and innovation across all IT functions.

Lead the management of networks, cloud environments, servers, and security infrastructure across head office and multiple sites.

Ensure stability, performance, and security of mission-critical systems including SWIFT, SAGE, OPUS, and iMali Yam.

Oversee IT support, asset lifecycle management, software licensing, and user onboarding / offboarding processes.

Maintain robust cybersecurity frameworks, ensuring adherence to POPIA and other regulatory standards.

Proactively identify, assess, and respond to security risks across the organization.

Implement and continuously evolve cybersecurity awareness, monitoring, and response protocols.

Drive the centralization and optimization of reporting and analytics through Power BI and semantic data models.

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.

Provide actionable insights that empower strategic decisions at every level — from operations to EXCO.

Lead, inspire, and grow a high-performing IT team, including analysts, administrators, and project leads.

Foster professional development through mentorship, continuous learning, and performance excellence.

Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.

Manage relationships with key technology partners and service providers.

Oversee IT budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization to maximize technology ROI.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.

8–10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership within a multi-site or enterprise environment.

Proven success in IT strategy development, infrastructure modernization, and digital transformation.

Strong technical expertise across Azure, Microsoft, SQL Server, Power BI, and cybersecurity frameworks.

Exposure to enterprise platforms such as SWIFT, SAGE, Smartsheet, QContact, Norm, and Splynx advantageous.
