Head Of FP&A – Financial Planning & Analysis
Location: Sandton
Job Description: This role supports the Planning team, within Group FP&A, responsible for overall financial planning across the group. The focus includes preparation and review of forecasts and short- and medium-term budgets that inform the Integrated Plan, analysis of competitors, trends, revenues, new products/businesses, and preparation of briefing notes for annual results presentations. Ad hoc analysis and research, often related to Exco presentations and other senior management, is required. This role supports the preparation of these key deliverables and provides analysis and inputs into these processes.
Responsibilities
- Project management and analysis of key planning deliverables throughout the year: RAF, STP, Stress Testing and Integrated Planning outputs
 - Competitor analysis
 - Research projects - gathering financial data and creating insightful, decision-useful analysis and thought pieces
 - Results presentations at half year and year end
 - Other ad hoc projects and presentations
 - Financial scenario analysis and stress testing
 - Consolidating financial information for senior management
 - Attend meetings to assist executives to understand and complete their tasks to achieve team goals
 
Ad-hoc and Reporting
- Execute ad-hoc queries on a daily basis that are dependent on external and internal requirements and vary considerably throughout the year
 - Attend various committee meetings to provide contributions on margins, impairment trends or economic understanding
 - Perform analysis and make recommendations on balance sheet optimization
 - Provide information to other departments (Efficiency office, office of the CEO, treasury, etc.) in a suitable format to support their tasks
 
CRM/Relationship & Collaboration
- Provide analysis support relating to cluster relationships and interact with Business units daily
 
General
- Perform all other duties as reasonably assigned
 - Peer responsibility: Engage and develop finance and business savvy leaders

Qualifications And Experience
- B-degree in Accounting/Financial management (NQF level 6)
 - 3 years technical experience

- Basic Financial Accounting
 - Analytical skills
 - Self-driven and good interpersonal skills
 - Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
 
Education
Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Financial Sciences (Required)
