A dynamic technology company in South Africa is seeking a Director to lead the Group FP&A function. You will shape financial strategies, drive insight-led decisions, and partner with the leadership to support growth across payments and merchant services. The ideal candidate has CA(SA) or CFA qualifications, with over 12 years of experience in FP&A and corporate finance, and strong communication skills.

Role Purpose Own the Group FP&A function in a fast‑paced environment.
Shape financial strategy, drive insight‑led decisions, and partner with executive leadership to support ambitious growth across payments, merchant services, and adjacent products.
Key Responsibilities Own Group FP&A: budgeting, rolling forecasts, performance packs, and board materials across multiple business units and geographies.
Strategic partnering: advise on capital allocation, product economics, pricing, and market expansion; turn complex data into clear actions.
External cycle support: contribute to results preparation and alignment of internal outlook with external narrative.
Analytics & performance: institutionalise KPI trees and BI frameworks (cohorts, unit economics, margin mix, churn, authorisation / settlement KPIs).
Investments & M&A: lead modelling, valuation, scenarios, due diligence, and post‑deal tracking for new products / partnerships / acquisitions.
Systems & automation: enhance FP&A tooling and automate forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis.
Team leadership: build, mentor, and scale a high‑performing FP&A team; embed accountability and analytical rigour.
Requirements Must‑haves CA(SA) or CFA with strong technical finance base.
12+ years across FP&A / corporate finance / business control / strategic finance in multinational or technology‑led environments.
Proven end‑to‑end ownership of budgeting, forecasting, management / board reporting, and scenario planning.
Advanced modelling & valuation; comfort with multi‑currency, multi‑entity structures.
Strong executive partnering and communication skills.
Exposure to multi‑country operations.
Familiarity with modern BI / FP&A stacks.
Experience supporting external results cycles.
Track record in cost transformation, process optimisation, and automation.
