Job summary

Jobs 4 All is seeking a highly experienced General Manager to lead a large Distribution Centre in Gauteng. You will oversee warehousing, transport, inventory, and customer service, ensuring high-volume operations meet safety, quality and service targets.

The role requires an honours degree and 5–8 years in senior DC leadership, with FMCG and ISO/FSSC experience. You will drive financial performance, lead unionised teams, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Honours Degree in Business Management or related field.
• 5–8 years' GM experience in large high-volume distribution centre.
• Experience with FMCG, food distribution, and temperature-controlled supply chains.
• Strong Excel skills for financial analysis, budgeting and reporting.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse, transport, inventory, fleet, facilities and CS operations.
• Manage high-volume distribution across frozen, chilled, ambient, and short-shelf-life items.
• Drive efficiency, productivity, service delivery and continuous improvement.
• Budget management; prepare monthly financial and operational reports.
• Ensure ISO and FSSC compliance, food safety and risk controls.
• Lead large teams in a unionised environment; manage IR processes.
• Present performance to senior management and drive strategic objectives.
