This role bridges strategy and execution, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and vendor relationships to deliver high-impact projects and ensure system and process excellence.This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer.
Education : Grade 12 (Matric)Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related fieldPostgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
Experience : Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Medical Scheme administration environment, including hands‑on experience with one or more administration systemsAt least 2 years in a management role with proven people leadership responsibilities5 years' experience in Business Analysis and Solution Design5 years' experience in System Integration5 years' experience in managing Medical Administration ProjectsDemonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and external vendors over a minimum of 5 years.
Strategic Leadership & Client EngagementLead solution design, growth initiatives, and onboarding for various medical schemes.Collaborate with executives to identify opportunities and drive feasibility studies and benefit enhancements.
Systems Integration & Vendor OversightManage third‑party platforms, switching houses, and provider networks.Ensure business rules and benefit updates are implemented and maintained.
Lead vendor performance and incident escalation.
Team Leadership & Operational ExcellenceDevelop and lead a high‑performing Business Analyst team.Oversee request intake, prioritisation, and release cycles.Foster a culture of accountability, growth, and collaboration.
Project & Risk ManagementCo‑manage high‑impact projects, support business case development, and define service metrics and KPIs.
Business Analysis & Process OptimisationTranslate business needs into technical solutions.Drive automation, efficiency, and data‑driven decision‑making through SQL and process analysis.
Innovation & Market AwarenessChampion digitisation, AI integration, and continuous improvement.Stay ahead of industry trends and lead specialised initiatives.
