About the job Head of Data, Insights & Analytics

Purpose:

Create and execute the vision, strategy and roadmap for the Data, Insights, & Analytics function.

To ensure the availability and quality of data, insights and analytics within the business is optimised to drive more considered and higher quality decisions. Establish a competitive advantage from data, insights and analytics.

The role will report directly to the CEO and will provide a strategic and leadership role in the management of data and analytics systems, solutions design, and implementation. This opportunity is for an individual who is eager to build and shape the data, insights and analytics landscape within an entrepreneurial environment fixated on the disruption of the healthcare industry.

Duties and responsibilities:

• To lead, guide and mentor an architecture team through the maintenance and design of a centralized data architecture that can be used by all business units to retrieve information
• To lead, guide and mentor the architecture team through the design of instruments for data gathering
• To ensure data management (Azure DW, SSIS) data quality and data security
• To ensure that the latest technology, data and information is central to the companys strategy
• To lead, guide and mentor an insights and analytics team to deliver best in class insights solutions
• Create a culture of insights-based decision making
• To identify and align machine learning and artificial intelligence opportunities with company strategy
• To understand the technological constraints of and address the business needs accordingly in the most optimal manner by making strategic decisions on which technology is the best fit for the job
• To identify, prioritise and advance data-driven solutions for highest impact outcomes across the organisation

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, data science, actuarial science, econometrics, or a related field
• Master's degree in Data Science/Computer science preferred
• Data certifications preferred (SSIS, Microsoft)
• 5-10 years experience in a senior-level insights, information systems or data management role
• Experience in building data architecture preferred
• Experience in designing and implementing data driven solutions
• Data strategy development and execution aligned with driving company strategy
• Deep understanding of data analytics
• Deep understanding of insights driven/lead decision making
• Sound understanding of data architecture
• Strong data science competence (ML Tools/packages, AI, statistical tools)
