Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Manager for Leisure and Recreation Services to oversee a portfolio of facilities and programs in East London, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on strategic planning, operations, program development, and stakeholder engagement to deliver high-quality community leisure experiences.

The successful candidate will lead a diverse team, manage budgets, and foster partnerships with sports clubs, schools, and government agencies.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Leisure Studies, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Master's degree is an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement strategic plans for leisure and recreation services, aligning with organizational goals.
• Oversee management and operation of parks, sports fields, and community centers.
• Design and evaluate recreational programs for all ages and abilities.
• Manage departmental budgets including planning, expenditure control, and revenue strategies.
• Lead and mentor a team of recreation coordinators and staff.
• Foster relationships with community stakeholders, clubs, schools, and government agencies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and accessibility regulations.
• Develop marketing and communication strategies to promote services.
• Monitor industry trends to improve service delivery and programs.
• Manage contracts with external providers and partners.
