Description

The Head of Aftercare will oversee the daily operations of the aftercare facility, ensuring a safe, structured and supportive environment for learners outside of standard school hours. This leadership role involves programme planning, staff and stakeholder coordination, administrative oversight, and direct engagement with learners. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality standards, managing aftercare activities, and supporting parents and the broader school community.

  • Assist in planning after-school and vacation programmes.
  • Oversee and maintain stock control.
  • Perform quality control and maintain communication with parents and stakeholders.
  • Support marketing and financial management functions where required.
  • Assist in planning healthy eating initiatives, educational aftercare programmes and transport coordination.
  • Transport learners using school-registered vehicles.
  • Demonstrate personal commitment to education and uphold the values and ethos of the institution.
Requirements
  • An appropriate academic and professional education qualification from a recognised institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • A passion for working with children.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills.
  • A positive and energetic vocational approach.
  • Patience and compassion when working with children.
  • A clear criminal record (background checks will be conducted).
  • A valid driver’s licence and PDP (Professional Driving Permit) – essential.
