Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a luxury boutique hotel preferred.

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes.

Job Purpose

To prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with the kitchen standards, ensuring consistency, hygiene, and efficiency always.

Role

Role would require in delivering excellent food service and maintaining smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure correct portion control and presentation of dishes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work area in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Be creative and design menus and meals for guests.
  • Experience with menu planning, stock control, and food ordering on POS platforms.
  • Monitor freshness of ingredients and minimize food waste.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to maintain smooth service and comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards always.
  • Support training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff.
  • Adapt to dietary requirements and special requests from guests.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and food presentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous experience working in a luxury boutique hotel, private home or as a private chef is beneficial.
  • Alternatively a cook or chef that wishes to move into a private chef role will work.
  • Experience in creating menus based on guest preferences is an advantage.
  • Working Conditions: Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Kitchen environment with long periods of standing.
  • Must have own transportation.
