Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and passionate Head Barman / Sommelier to join a luxury food and beverage consultancy based in the iconic Kruger National Park. This live‑in position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional to showcase their creativity, product knowledge and leadership within a refined environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the bar ensuring exceptional service and product quality
  • Curate and maintain an extensive wine and beverage list in line with the establishment’s high standards
  • Train, motivate and manage the bar team to deliver an outstanding guest experience
  • Maintain stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks and manage ordering processes
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative pairings and enhance the guest experience
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and licensing regulations
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Head Barman or Sommelier within a luxury hospitality environment
  • Exceptional knowledge of wines, spirits and cocktail preparation
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands‑on approach
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high service standards
  • Willingness to live and work in a remote location
Package

Salary: R18,000 per month (Negotiable depending on experience)
