Our client is seeking a Driver (Code 10 – Hazchem / Dangerous Goods Specialist) to safely transport and deliver hazardous and chemical goods in compliance with all legal, health, safety, and company standards. The role involves operating a medium to heavy-duty vehicle to service customers, suppliers, and internal operations efficiently and on time.

Requirements
  • Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with PrDP (Professional Driving Permit).
  • Hazchem / Dangerous Goods certification essential.
  • Proven experience transporting hazardous or chemical materials safely and compliantly.
  • Strong knowledge of road traffic regulations and dangerous goods transport legislation.
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and complete delivery documentation accurately.
  • Excellent time management, route planning, and communication skills.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and professional when dealing with customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure correct load, secure transport and off-load of products in accordance with Hazchem / Dangerous Goods regulations.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip, post-trip) and report defects, maintain vehicle cleanliness and fuel state.
  • Plan and follow routes effectively, monitor progress, respond to delays/traffic, minimise risk and downtime.
  • Complete delivery documentation (invoices, delivery/collection notes, trip sheets, mileage logs) accurately for finance/operations.
  • Interface professionally with customers/suppliers, representing the company’s brand and standards.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant road traffic and dangerous goods transport legislation (including Hazchem certificate, PrDP licence, etc.)
