Job summary

Brights in Wes-Kaap is seeking a customer-focused Sales Assistant with building hardware experience. You will engage customers, advise on products, drive sales, and keep stock accurate. You’ll handle merchandising, stock counts and admin tasks while delivering excellent service to support store growth.

The role requires Matric, 3 years in building/hardware sales, and strong communication. Travel to Mitchells Plain is needed; training and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent completed.
• 3 years sales experience in building department.
• 3 years minimum experience in a hardware environment.
• 5 basic technical supplier certificates.
• Customer service training and strong sales technique.

Responsibilities

• Attend to customers professionally and helpfully.
• Generate more sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Control stock levels and perform stock counts.
• Advise customers on products to solve their need.
• Place stock orders with buyers when necessary.
• Handle admin tasks including customer books and invoices.
• Ensure proper merchandising and correct pricing.
• Participate in perpetual stock takes.
• Maintain good housekeeping of the work area.
