Job Description

An innovative manufacturing company is seeking a highly experienced CFO / Senior Financial Manager to provide senior financial leadership on a half-day, in-office basis. This is a strategic and oversight-focused role, suited to a seasoned finance professional with a strong governance mindset and exceptional financial control.

Reporting directly to the CEO and Board of Directors, you will be responsible for setting financial standards, implementing robust financial procedures, and providing oversight and guidance to the accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior financial leadership and oversight of the finance function
• Implement, review, and enforce financial policies, procedures, and controls
• Review monthly management accounts and trial balances for accuracy and integrity
• Oversee tax compliance, SARS submissions, and statutory reporting
• Maintain oversight of cash flow, banking, and liquidity management
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and high-level financial planning
• Support the CEO and Board with financial insight and reporting
• Manage and coordinate auditors and external financial stakeholders

Requirements

• BCom Accounting Honours or SAICA qualification preferred
• 10-15+ years' senior financial management experience
• SYSPRO experience - non-negotiable
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial
• Strong governance, control, and leadership capability
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Reliable, ethical, and commercially astute
• Comfortable operating at executive and board level
