• Direct sourcing from China: supplier identification, audit, qualification and negotiation without an agent.

Job description

Minimum requirements:

• A degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or commerce.
• Twelve years or more in industrial procurement and supply chain, of which at least five years in a group or multi-country role holding delegated buying authority.
• Category depth in at least two of the following: steel and plate, polymers and chemicals, rubber compound, bearings and power transmission, castings and forgings.
• Proven direct sourcing from China, including supplier identification, audit, qualification and negotiation without an agent or trading intermediary.
• Demonstrated ownership of a sales and operations planning or demand and supply reconciliation cycle, including holding the plan against a commercial function.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, SYSPRO preferred, covering item master governance, material requirements planning, minimum order quantities, lead time maintenance and purchase pricing.
