Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of liquidity stress testing models and related reporting.
- Analyze financial and liquidity risks, monitor key risk indicators, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Support asset and liability management, funding strategies, and balance sheet risk analysis.
- Review enterprise risk reporting and evaluate operational and financial risk trends across the business.
- Challenge and review IFRS 9 expected credit loss models, investigating significant movements and validating key assumptions.
- Perform detailed credit risk analysis to support underwriting, portfolio performance, and profitability initiatives.
- Query large datasets using SQL to validate business intelligence reporting and management information.
- Develop and maintain analytical models using tools such as Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, and AI-assisted technologies.
- Deliver financial analysis, valuation modeling, and transaction support for strategic business initiatives.
- Prepare executive-level reports that communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and practical manner.
- Collaborate with and mentor a small Risk and Analytics team while supporting continuous technical development.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to provide analytical support for strategic decision-making.
Job Experience and Skills Required
- Postgraduate qualification in a quantitative or finance-related discipline.
- Qualifications such as FRM, CFA, actuarial studies, Financial Risk Management, Statistics, or Econometrics will be highly advantageous.
- Strong experience in financial risk, liquidity risk, treasury, asset and liability management, or balance sheet risk within a financial services environment.
- Exposure to credit risk and IFRS 9 expected credit loss methodologies.
- Advanced quantitative, statistical, and analytical capabilities.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to independently query and analyze large datasets.
- Experience building analytical and financial models using Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, or similar technologies.
- Strong commercial acumen with exposure to valuation analysis, transaction support, or corporate finance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
