Overview

Our client a leading JSE-listed transport services group is seeking an experienced Group Reporting Finance Manager to take ownership of the full finance function across two key business this high-impact role you’ll oversee financial reporting manage a dedicated team and play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy compliance and integrity of group financials. We are looking for a registered CA(SA) with a minimum of 5 years of post-articles experience in a similar environment ideally within a large complex or listed organization. Your advanced Excel expertise strong technical reporting capability and ability to lead and mentor a team will be essential to driving financial excellence and supporting strategic decision‑making across the group.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the listed entity’s financial affairs and statutory financial documentation ensuring full compliance with JSE Listing Requirements and the Companies Act including audit management.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of quarterly Board packs for the Group along with all internal financial reporting required by the major shareholder.
  • Supervise the preparation of monthly management accounts for trading entities outside of the GABS group.
  • Manage and oversee the Group Employee Share Option Scheme including valuation and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare the annual tax calculation and return and coordinate submission of provisional tax payments under the Public Officers authority.
  • Design, implement and continuously enhance internal control frameworks to ensure strong financial governance across the Group.
  • Support the CFO in developing capital and funding structures across the Group including financial evaluation of acquisition opportunities to maximize shareholder value.
  • Provide ad‑hoc analytical and financial support to the CEO and Financial Director as required.
