Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Support group finance in compiling the consolidated interim and year‑end audit packs.
- Contribute to audit‑related deliverables and ensure accurate timely submissions.
Regulatory Reporting
- Assist with the preparation of bi‑annual insurance group QRTs.
- Prepare monthly group solvency reports and coordinate with multiple finance teams to gather input.
- Conduct stress testing on consolidated results to evaluate the impact of potential risk scenarios (ORSA).
Management Information
- Prepare IFRS 16 reports for corporate office leases and provide technical guidance to finance teams.
- Handle monthly accounting for selected group support entities.
- Identify and analyse unusual financial movements or trends, liaising with relevant teams to clarify variances.
Taxation
- Assist in preparing and submitting tax returns for group support entities.
Projects and Process Improvement
- Drive initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the reporting function.
- Provide support to finance teams on special reporting requests and ad‑hoc projects.

Minimum Requirements
- Newly qualified CA(SA) with 12 years of experience, preferably within the financial services industry and a group reporting environment.
- Strong understanding of complex accounting standards (advantageous).
- Familiarity with AccPac IDU and QlikView would be beneficial.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential.
