ENVIRONMENT

The expertise of a highly skilled & driven Group Marketing Manager is sought to join the team of a Market Leader in the motor vehicle industry with a footprint across South Africa and neighbouring countries. You will oversee and orchestrate all marketing activities across digital and offline channels, ensuring excellence across all brand marketing initiatives, managing service providers and internal teams to deliver measurable growth and brand leadership. This position requires visionary leadership, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to translate business objectives into effective marketing strategies that elevate brands and drive tangible results. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Business or similar discipline with 8-10 years’ experience in Marketing Management, preferably within Retail, Automotive or Franchise environments. You also need proven success in developing and leading end-to-end marketing strategies that drive measurable growth & a strong understanding of both digital (SEO, PPC, social media, analytics) and traditional marketing disciplines.

DUTIES
Strategic Leadership -
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies spanning digital, print, PR and events.
  • Ensure all marketing efforts directly support revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Oversee cross-brand marketing calendars, campaign planning and consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Build and lead a high-performing Marketing team, guiding their growth and ensuring accountability.
Oversight, Performance & Governance -
  • Supervise outsourced teams (Web Developers, Analytics, SEO Specialists, Designers and Paid Search agencies).
  • Ensure all websites, social platforms, and communication channels reflect brand excellence and best practice UX/UI standards.
  • Review and approve creative direction, ensuring consistent visual identity and tone of voice across all brands.
  • Maintain oversight of marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and strong ROI.
  • Oversee analytics reporting (Google Analytics, Looker Studio, CRM dashboards) to drive data-based decision-making.
  • Evaluate campaign effectiveness, monitor KPIs, and provide monthly strategic performance reports to executive management.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of customer experience across all platforms and communication channels.
  • Oversee implementation of enterprise-grade digital solutions, including:
    • Lead innovation by identifying emerging technologies and tools that support long-term business growth.
    • Direct and approve traditional marketing initiatives, including print, outdoor, in-store activations and events.
    • Ensure seamless integration between digital and offline campaigns.
    • Manage proposals and dealer applications where required.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications –
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (postgraduate degree advantageous).
Experience/Skills –
  • 8–10+ Years’ experience in Marketing Management, preferably within Retail, Automotive or Franchise environments.
  • Proven success in developing and leading end-to-end marketing strategies that drive measurable growth.
  • Strong understanding of both digital (SEO, PPC, social media, analytics) and traditional marketing disciplines.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially astute, data-driven, and detail-oriented with strong Project Management capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of CRM systems and digital transformation initiatives.
