Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a senior, experienced marketing leader to define and execute a group-wide marketing strategy across multiple brands, integrating both traditional and digital channels. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to develop innovative marketing strategies, inspire cross-functional teams, and drive growth and brand awareness across diverse markets.

Experience in managing multiple brands or divisions and working in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment is essential. A background in agency collaboration or multi‑business marketing will be highly advantageous.

This role is based full‑time in the office in Umhlanga, Durban.

What You Will Do
Strategic Leadership :

Lead the development and execution of group‑wide and individual brand marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.

Set strategic priorities for Heads of Department and ensure all departmental goals support business growth.

Collaborate with senior stakeholders across product, operations, customer support, and other functions to implement integrated marketing initiatives.

Brand Development & Positioning :

Define and maintain brand positioning across multiple markets, ensuring consistency in messaging and tone while adapting to local nuances.

Build brand awareness, loyalty, and reputation across existing and new markets.

Customer Acquisition & Retention :

Oversee campaigns aimed at acquisition, retargeting, and retention across both digital and traditional channels.

Optimize customer journeys from awareness to conversion and long‑term loyalty.

Market Analysis & Insights :

Lead market research and consumer insights initiatives to guide data‑driven decision‑making.

Continuously analyze competitors, market trends, and customer behaviour to maintain a competitive edge.

Team Leadership & Development :

Lead, mentor, and manage a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary marketing team across brands and regions.

Foster collaboration, accountability, and innovation across all marketing functions.

Establish KPIs, provide performance guidance, and ensure a culture of excellence.

Campaign & Digital Excellence :

Conceptualise and oversee 360‑degree campaigns across both traditional and digital channels, including SEO, SEM, PPC, social media, programme‑matic, and content strategy.

Ensure campaigns are measurable, track ROI, and continuously optimised for results.

Compliance & Governance :

Ensure all marketing practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Promote responsible practices in all campaigns and communications.

Budget & Resource Management :

Establish and manage consolidated marketing budgets across brands / divisions.

Optimize resource allocation to maximise ROI and support long‑term growth.

Innovation & Industry Awareness :

Stay abreast of emerging marketing trends, platforms, and technologies.

Introduce innovative approaches to enhance marketing effectiveness and customer engagement.

What You Will Need

Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role, managing multiple brands or business units.

Deep understanding of both traditional and channels .

Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams.

Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution capability.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills.

Strong communication skills for cross‑functional and executive‑level engagement.

Relevant Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
