Position Overview

SEIDOR is currently looking for a Group Finance Manager to be responsible for overseeing the entire financial function for all entities under SEIDOR Africa.

This involves providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, managing consolidated results, and maintaining robust financial controls and statutory compliance across the group.

Qualifications and Experience
Education

A bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is essential.

A professional accounting qualification / membership such as CA(SA) is a distinct advantage.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar senior financial management or group reporting role is typically required.

Experience in a tech or IT managed services environment is highly beneficial.

Experience in dealing with African Countries statutory complexities – Current countries being : South Africa, East Africa : Kenya, Tanzania, Mauritius, Zambia, Morocco, Ethiopia and Tunisa.

Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency with accounting packages and Excel.

Sap Business One an advantage

Soft Skills

Must possess excellent collaborative communication, leadership, and analytical thinking skills.

High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity are critical for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic financial leadership

Act as a financial business partner to senior management, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.

Lead the financial planning process, including annual budgets, forecasting, and multi-year financial plans across the group.

Conduct financial analysis, interpret trends, and provide regular reports on key financial metrics to executive leadership.

Financial reporting and consolidation

Manage and refine the financial consolidation process for all entities within the group, ensuring accuracy and data quality.

Take ownership of group-level financial results, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow) in compliance with IFRS.

Ensure timely, accurate and complete internal and external financial reporting

Financial management and control

Oversee the full financial function, including general ledger management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management for the group.

Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and debtor collections across all entities.

Establish and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to ensure the integrity of financial information and compliance

Compliance and risk management

Ensure all statutory and regulatory compliance is met, including tax submissions and company secretarial requirements for all South African entities.

Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure all audits are completed accurately and on time.

Identify and mitigate key financial risks and exposure to financial uncertainty.

Team leadership and development

Supervise, lead, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Ensure the team has the necessary tools and training to achieve objectives.

Provide guidance and support to the financial controllers and accounting staff in the various business units.
