JSE-listed alternative power solutions conglomerate seeks to employ the services of an experienced Group Financial Manager to join their dynamic head office team based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.

Please note: This is a FTC maternity cover for 6 months.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job & Company Description:

The purpose of this role will be to take responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and running of finance activities for group, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations.

This position will report directly to the Group CFO.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop financial well-being of group by providing full spectrum of financial services
  • Review and interpret monthly management accounts, and further recommendations
  • Analysing and identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities, assist with strategic analysis and planning
  • Establish finance and operational strategies
  • Review and sign off journals
  • Assessment and implementation of internal controls
  • Prepare interdivisional reconciliation
  • Review head office and operational GL reconciliations
  • Manage banking and treasury functions
  • Prepare annual financial statements
  • Consolidation of budget templates
  • Assist with implementation of new systems
  • Support project analysis and validation of plans
Education

Qualified CA(SA) essential
