GROUP FINANCE MANAGER CA(SA) - R90k pm - S-Suburbs, CPT

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Partner with the CFO and Exco team to drive company growth through effective financial strategy execution and by ensuring the finance function actively supports expansion plans.
  • Work with the forecasting and analysis team to assist in leading the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Support the tracking of actual results against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances, and recommending corrective measures where required.
  • Oversee cash flow management to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs, while optimising working capital to maintain compliance with covenant requirements.
  • Handle year-end audit activities, including liaising with auditors and reviewing the preparation of Annual Financial Statements.
  • Provide guidance on the correct accounting treatment for complex transactions.
  • Review monthly management accounts and group consolidations to ensure accurate and timely reporting to Exco and shareholders.
  • Work with the CFO, alongside the Head of Risk and Internal Audit, to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks such as credit, market, and operational risks, and to strengthen risk controls where needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders—including senior leadership and department heads—to deliver financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, the company secretary, and financial and banking partners.
  • Oversee and guide the payroll function.
  • Assist in reviewing quarterly tax computations.
  • Support the CFO with developing the finance team and contributing to various strategic and ad hoc projects.
REQUIRMENTS :
  • Registered CA(SA) with 3+ years post articles commercial experience
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy across all financial deliverables.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously while contributing effectively within a collaborative team setting.
  • Capable of managing competing priorities and tight deadlines with composure and efficiency.
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to engage confidently at all levels of the organisation.
  • Self-driven and proactive, taking ownership and pride in producing high-quality outcomes.
