A leading packaging company in Cape Town seeks a Customer Account Manager to manage key accounts and drive sales targets. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of B2B sales experience and a strong understanding of customer management. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to influence customer relationships and contribute to the company's growth strategies.
Manage key customer accounts, working capital, new business development, and the interface between customers and the business to achieve sales targets and long-term success of the business.
Support adjacent planning, administration, and reporting processes.Key ResponsibleManage existing and new accounts of a designated customer base to achieve sales targets and long-term success.Monitor and analyse the profitability of each product to determine price increases and non-profit items to be discontinued.Attend to queries for local and export sales.Provide customer support and service and manage relationships of a designated customer base to achieve the sales objectives and targets.Manage the artwork, product development, and design change process to ensure changes to customer requirements and products are made accurately and timeously.Understand the product specification required by the customer and ensure adherence theretomunicate with customers on any issue relating to their account and address it accordingly.Keep customers informed of all price increases and address all queries timeously to achieve customer satisfaction.Manage working capital in terms of aged stock, stock write-downs and stock scrapping.Develop accurate sales forecasts to ensure sales planning, capacity planning and raw materials planning is accurate to meet the sales targets to supply customers on-time-in-full (OTIF).Ensure customers adhere to the stock holding agreement to achieve the sales budgets and targets, minimise aged stock and control working capital.Manage the new business development processes to ensure positive experiences for customers.Understand the market, customer requirements / competitors offering to remain competitiveManage the transition to new product design and provide customer awareness and education.Manage the interface between customers and the business to resolve any conflict and or customer problems, complaints, and claims in a timely manner.Support and implement the sales strategy to achieve the business' sales and growth targets.Participate in the development of the annual sales budget.
RequirementsSales or commercial National Diploma or DegreeB2B sales experience is preferable7-10 years' proven experience in sales and / or commercial activitiesSolid knowledge of S&OP and CRM processes and systemsIn depth knowledge of customer managementNegotiation methods
